Do you want to learn to make professional video games in Indianapolis?
Game Constructors is a summer camp for 6th - 12th grade students centered around making video games. Students learn to make PC, Xbox 360, and mobile games (iPhone/Android) alongside college professors and experienced professionals.
Along the way, we'll tackle all aspects of video game development utilizing professional techniques and tools.
This is the demo reel for the Unity 3D game engine. We will be using this game engine to produce games for a variety of different platforms include mobile phones (iPhone/Android), PC, and Mac. Unity is also capable of targeting most console platforms (if your firm has the necessary SDK).
Major Portions of the Camp Focus on:
1) Computer Programming Using Game Development Environment
Learn to program games using interdisciplinary techniques that integrate art, game-design, and programming.
2) Mobile Game Development (iPhone, iPad, Android)
Learn to create a mobile game from scratch and put it on the major app stores.
3) 3D Animation
Learn to use 3D animation software (Max, Maya, Daz) for gaming and CGI animation
4) Game Design
Learn to develop engaging game-mechanics for a variety of games
5) 2D Art Design
Learn to create 2D art for games and animations
Use Professional Tools:
Use professional animation and game development tools, such as Corona SDK, Unity 3D, Houdini, Maya. This is different than using educational tools such as Alice, which might be useful in teaching programming concepts, but are not really used for professional game development.
This is the SideFX demo reel for Houdini, the premiere dynamic/particle system used in the industry. Most Hollywood movies and games that have explosions use this software. We will learn how to use it to create games and animations.
